The nature of the costume business has been that there are no returns/exchanges.
However, because our items are purchased over the internet, cannot be tried on ahead of time and are bought site unseen,
we have developed the following return and exchange policy for you, our customers. As all of our items are custom made and represent a considerable investment of time and materials on our part there is a 30% restocking fee on standard sized costumes.
If we have made an error with regard to size, color, etc., please let us know and we will do our best to resolve the problem.
We hope that you are pleased with your BIG Costume. If you are not satisfied with the costume for any reason, the costume may be returned with the original packaging in new, unworn condition.
We're sorry but custom sized and or custom made special requests costumes are non-returnable/non-refundable. A free alteration is included with a custom costume. Shipping will be at the customers expense.
Orders can be returned within 5 days of receipt (except between October 1st-November 2nd) if the item is returned unused, in new condition, and with all the original packaging.
There is a 30% restocking fee on all returns.
We do not accept returns on worn merchandise. If we feel the costume has been worn we will return the costume to you, at your expense and no credit will be issued.
All returns must be sent via a traceable method.
If you mail your return, it must have delivery confirmation on it.
It is your (the customer's) responsibility to insure the returned item(s) in the event of loss or damage.
Orders returned via mail without a delivery confirmation
are considered unauthorized returns, and BIGcostumes.com will not be responsible for refunding these returned items if there is no way to confirm receipt to us.
All other returns will be refused.
If we receive your authorized return and it is determined that it is missing some of the accessories,
part of the costume, or the original packaging, you will only get a partial credit.
Please double-check that you have included all of the costume and packaging prior to mailing your return to us.
Your package must be post-marked within 5 days of receipt of item(s).
Refused packages will be subject to a restocking fee of 50%.
Return Instructions:
1. Please return the item with the original packaging in new, unworn condition.
2. Include a copy of the original invoice, indicating your reason for the return.
Customer Agrees to all shipping charges plus the 30% restocking fee.
You will receive a credit to the account you used to make the original purchase less the restocking fee.
Your credit card statement may not show the credit for up to 45 days.
BIGcostumes.com will e-mail you a copy of the credit issued.
If you paid for your order with a money order, a check will be mailed to the address on file. This process may take up to 2 weeks.
Standard Exchange Policy:
Standard Sized Costumes may be exchanged for a different size or another item of equal or greater value within 5 days from the receipt of the package.
If no other size/item is available you may return the item for a refund.
You would then be responsible for all shipping charges plus the 30% restocking fee.
Exchange Instructions:
1. Place a new order for the correct item.
2. Please return the item with the original packaging in new, unworn condition.
3. Include a copy of the original invoice, indicating your reason for the exchange along with the new Order ID. This number is found in your e-mail confirmation from www.BIGcostumes.com - Include the last 4 digits only.
You agree to all shipping charges.
*Please Note: Exchanges may take up to 15 days to process from the receipt of the returned package.

Cancellations:
Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of placing order.
To cancel an order please send us an e-mail with your Order ID and Last name included. Include the words "Cancel my order" in the subject line.
Refused or undeliverable shipments will be subject to a restocking fee of 25%, plus applicable shipping charges both ways.
Halloween Cancellation Policy (October 1st through November 2nd):
Cancellations must be made within 12 hours of placing order.
We begin to process your order within 24 hours.
If you have placed an order and no longer want it, and the order has been processed there will be a 30% restocking fee.
Orders placed on or after October 1st and November 2nd cannot be exchanged. We apologize for any inconvenience
Rush Orders:
A rush order is an order that needs to be shipped within 5 days of BIGcostumes.com receiving the order. A $35 charge is applied to all costumes requiring a rush order.
Shipping charges will apply.
Please order early to avoid these additional charges.
Shipping:
All US orders are shipped either US Priority Mail, Federal Express or UPS depending on the most economical method and based on the need by date. Additional charges may apply for rush orders.

Some deliveries may be made as late as 8pm in the evening.
International Shipping: Yes we ship internationally. The shipping charges will vary based upon the weight of your order and the location it is being shipped to.
All international orders are shipped Federal Express or UPS. Additional charges may apply for rush orders. Please order early to avoid these additional charges.
In rare cases we ask for additional identification from orders placed for shipment to certain countries.
We check with the US fraud alert system. You will be notified by e-mail if your ship to country falls under one of these catefories.
Customs and Import Duties:
You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country.
Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.
Additionally, when ordering from BIGcostumes.com, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
If you refuse to pay the customs, the package will likely be abandoned, and you will still be responsible for full payment including shipping fees and all product charges.
